My name is Matt from the UK I displayed symptoms from the age of 13. Things got really bad when my wife was pregnant with our first child at the age of 27. I tried every available medication to no avail. Desperate for relief, I infected my self with hookworms which put me into remission for 18 months but it eventually came back. I had a permanent ileostomy in January of 2016 and after completely dreading it I loved it within a couple of days. I've been offered a J-pouch reversal but I'm sticking with my bag as I love it, stay strong all!
